Dance ConXion offers a wide variety of programs and classes in many different styles of dance.

The certified staff takes pride in their passion for dance and their personal drive to be continuously educating themselves. This knowledge is passed on to the students and shines through week after week.

DC is able to offer students recreational, competitive and exam classes or any combination mentioned. DC Students can decide to enroll in the recreational program to learn their style of dance in positive, energetic weekly class. They can enroll in a very structured syllabus class and prepare for dance exams or they can audition for our competitive program and experience dance at a whole new level - dancing for judges from around the world.

Class Descriptions


Mommy and Me : (18-42 months) -

dance class setting designed to encourage creative movement through music and games while spending quality time with Mom.
Attire: comfortable clothing, clean sneakers OR “grippy” socks


Kidance 1: (3&4 year olds) -

enhances motor development and listening skills while encouraging creative movement with an introduction to rhythms.
Attire: girls - any color leotard, tights (skirt optional) and pink ballet slippers
               boys – shorts/sweats, t shirt and black dance slippers


Kidance 2:(4&5 year olds)-

a continuation of Kidance 1 encouraging more technique.
Attire: girls - any color leotard, tights (skirt optional) and pink ballet slippers
               boys – shorts/sweats, t shirt and black dance slippers


Ballet: -

a classical dance form in which precision, technique and grace are stressed.

Tap: -

a combination of music and dance emphasizing footwork and rhythm patterns.

Jazz: -

combination of dance styles utilizing rhythms and energy of popular music

Street Jazz: -

a funky, high energy mix of jazz technique and hip hop style.
Attire: exercise clothing and jazz sneakers.


Lyrical: -

a mix of ballet & jazz technique, choreography follows the lyrics of the music.
Attire: exercise clothing and foot undies.


Musical Theatre: -

a theatrical style of dance combining acting and dancing.
Attire: exercise clothing and footwear TBA.


Combo: -

covers both tap and jazz dance styles.
Attire: exercise clothing and black tap and jazz shoes.


Power Pak: -

covers lyrical and hip hop styles.
Attire: exercise clothing, foot undies and white sneakers.


Medley: -

covers tap, lyrical and street jazz styles.
Attire: exercise clothing, foot undies and black tap and jazz shoes.


Acro: -

combines gymnastic & dance principles, emphasizing flexibility & “trick based” moves. It is a dynamic style therefore class structure will be dynamic & based on abilities & needs of participants.
Attire: exercise clothing and bare feet.


Troupe: -

competitive program by TEACHER ADMITTANCE ONLY.
Attire: beige jazz, black tap and white hip hop shoes, foot undies, beige tights, track suit.


Adult: -

classes designed specifically for adults over 19 yrs, offering hip hop, lyrical and tap.
Attire: exercise clothing and dance shoes.


Groovin’ Grannies: -

a tap class designed specifically for those 50+ years old.
Attire: comfortable clothing and tap shoes.             *No dance experience necessary!!!!!


ZUMBA: -

Zumba® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out and to get hooked! Zumba® Fanatics achieve long-term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exciting hour of calorie-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life! The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Add some Latin flavor and international zest into the mix and you’ve got a Zumba® class!

ZUMBATOMICS: -

instructors fuse the Zumba program's exciting formula with the psychology and physiology relevant to teaching kids (ages 4-12). Instructors learn how to modify Zumba moves to get optimal results, and receive tips on discipline and class management. With the Zumbatomic program, kids have a blast, get focused and get fit.

General Rules and Dance Etiquette



1. I will always come prepared for class:

- proper attire: leotard / tight fitting tank
  (NO JEANS or PJ PANTS)
- proper footwear
- bathroom break BEFORE class starts
- water bottle - NO food or glass bottles

2. I will never say the word "can't" :

- new material will be challenging but it is important to keep a positive attitude and an open mind

3. I will never complain :

- everything done in class has a purpose (which may not be immediately evident)

4. If I am having difficulty with something, I will ask for help (Teachers love questions!) :

- if something is unclear to you, it is probably unclear to someone else

5. I will respect my fellow classmates :

- teasing, bullying and negative remarks will NOT be tolerated

6. I will respect my teacher :

- everything she says is important so listen carefully (ABSOLUTELY no talking or practicing when she is talking)

7. I will leave my outdoor attire in it's proper place:

- there are cubbies where I will leave my things that are unrelated to dance

8. I will do my best to attend every class :

- new things are taught every week so it is easy to fall behind if a class is missed

9. Any questions or concerns will be addressed to the teacherimmediately

10.Dance class is a team effort I will never forget that"

11. Spectators are only permitted on designated dates

12. No cell phones are allowed in the studio

- this is very distracting to others and disrespectful to your instructor

13. Fund raising is optional but only those who participate will "reap the benefits"

14. Please check for notices each week :

(dancers often forget to mention that one has been handed out)

15. Payments are due on : Sept 20, Nov 20, Jan 20, Mar 20

- any late payments or returned cheques will have fees applied (see "The Fine Print" below)
- in the event of withdraw from the class a charge of $9 per week will apply until date notified

16. Costume fees apply to every dancer and must be paid in full by the due date

17. I will never forget the main ingredient to a great dancer
